i'm not sure attempting sorting on other columns... if want custom sort order images or buttons can use 1 of attributes sort order using custom text extraction method.
i'll assume main goal sort rows distance numerically. use custom parser pull out first word of string , remove commas before comparing numerically.
check this fiddle simplified example using data sorting numerically distance.
